Overview:

Zeal is an identity that was created in 2020. The company is based out of New York, NY and has many retail shops internationally. The company offers a variety of fast fashion pieces while straying away from forced labor manufacturers.

Challenges:

Zeal takes the impact of forced labor very seriously and creating an environment of good, quality, sustainable clothing. Their goals include being inclusive, a brand for everyone. Our challenge was to represent this image through visual design systems. 

Immersion

Learning about the fast fashion industry and how destructive it can be was a major pain point in my research. I wanted to build Zeal a visual identity representing sustainability.

Visual Identity

Using a morphological approach I took the icon of a thread spool to symbolize the fashion industry and the letter Z from the name of the company. The colors chosen represented earth and sustainablility.
